Day two in Tokyo 08.02.2014 Part 1 (only Part ^^)

There was something I totally forgot to mention. The day of arrival in Japan was my birthday. I made this trip as kind of birthday present to myself. Anyway - lets go over to day two of my trip: After we woke up and refresh in the tiny bathroom we directly went out to go to the first sightseeing spot - The Asakusa Temple. As common in the most hostels and hotels there was a map with all sightseeing spots available in the entrance hall. Of course there was as well showed a subway and train overview. My first impression when I really took an intensive look on this overview...WOW.  At this point I like to explain an, in my view very important, fact about the maps of public transportation's.  There are two different maps!   The maps are separated in Metro Map and JR (Train) Map. Of course the style of the maps variate sometimes so sooner or later, if you don't know there are different maps for the different line types, you loose the overview and become confused...

Day one in Tokyo 07.02.2014 Part 3

After a few glasses of plum wine from a tetra pack - what should not mean that the taste was bad, my face already turned a bit red and a nice conversation with a couple from Australia, my friend finally arrived at the hostel. A very kind friend ;) (She is now my girlfriend and live with me in Germany :))))) After a bit small talk we decided to go to an 'Izakaya' ( 居酒屋).  We walked a bit around in the area of the hostel, so in Asakusa. Very nice was that my first impression was 'its extrem easy to find a nice resturant'. Maybe to some of you this seems bit strange, but believe me, when you ever visited Germany you know what I mean. In Germany it's always a challenge to find a place for a nice and cheap dinner or even just a nice dinner. It is really normal to me to google a place before I leave my flat with friends to have a dinner somewhere. Compared to that in Japan you need never to think about the location to have a meal.
