So weit ich mich zurück erinnern kann, habe ich zuletzt einen Roman in der Oberstufe meines Gymnasiums gelesen. Immer wieder mal habe ich versucht mir ein gutes Buch zu Gemüte zu führen. Aber wie das oft so ist - erfolglos. Immer wieder habe ich die Bücher beiseite gelegt und nach und nach waren deren Cover mit einer matten Schicht aus Staub bedeckt. So glanzlos wie sie dann waren, so wenig anziehend waren sie dann auch für mich. Sie wurden schlicht zu einem Teil meiner Zimmerdeko bis sie dann beim nächsten Frühjahrsputz ausgemistet wurden. In der Schule war man gezwungen zu lesen und später, aus freien Stücken, habe ich mich nie dazu bewegen können. Ich habe mal gehört, dass Leute die als Kinder viel gelesen haben, später eher weniger lesen und andersrum. Vielleicht zähle ich zu den Letzteren. Im meiner neuen Düsseldorfer Altbauwohnung mit dem endlosen Bücherregalen, die fest in die Flure integriert sind, überkam mich dann doch noch der Wunsch diese wenigstens mit ein paar Büchern
